What an unforgettable evening!

Last night, ten members of the Wongs team travelled to London to attend the prestigious Retail Jeweller Awards 2026, joining some of the very best names in the jewellery industry for an evening celebrating excellence, innovation and passion.

Representing Wongs were members of our sales, marketing and workshop teams, alongside Owner and Director Peter Wong, Commercial Director Cynthia Cartwright, and managers from across the business. It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate not only our own achievements, but also the incredible talent that exists throughout the jewellery industry.

Now in its 34th year, the UK Jewellery Awards is recognised as the largest, longest-running and most prestigious awards event in the UK jewellery industry, bringing together hundreds of retailers, designers, manufacturers and suppliers to celebrate the very best our trade has to offer. Being recognised on this stage is something we're incredibly proud of. 

Four Shortlists, Two Incredible Wins

Going into the evening, we were honoured to be shortlisted for four awards:

• Marketing/Social Media Campaign or Collaboration of the Year (Retail)
• Store Design of the Year
• Bridal Jewellery Retailer of the Year
• Jewellery Retailer of the Year (Five Stores or Fewer)

Simply being recognised across four categories was an incredible achievement in itself. To be acknowledged by a panel of respected industry experts alongside so many outstanding businesses is something we'll never take for granted.

We never imagined we'd be travelling back to Liverpool with not one, but two trophies.

Our Award Wins

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Wongs was crowned:

To say we're humbled would be an understatement. These awards are a reflection of the dedication, creativity and passion shown by every single member of the Wongs family. From the warm welcome our customers receive in store, to the craftsmanship in our workshop, the marketing campaigns behind the scenes, and every department that works together to create the Wongs experience, this achievement belongs to every one of them.

These awards celebrate far more than commercial success. They recognise creativity, innovation, customer experience and the people behind the business. To have Wongs recognised in this way is something we'll treasure for years to come.

Celebrating the Jewellery Industry

We'd also like to congratulate every business that was nominated, shortlisted and, of course, those who took home awards on the night. The standard across every category was exceptional and it was inspiring to celebrate alongside so many talented businesses who continue to push our industry forward. 

We'd like to give a huge shout out to Gary Williams, who received a special award recognising his outstanding contribution to the jewellery industry. Gary is an inspiration to so many within our trade. His knowledge, generosity and genuine passion for jewellery have made a lasting impact on countless people, ourselves included. We've been fortunate enough to get to know Gary over the years and couldn't think of anyone more deserving of this recognition. Congratulations, Gary!

A Fantastic Evening

Finally, a huge thank you to the Retail Jeweller team for hosting such an incredible evening. The event was first class from start to finish, with a fantastic meal, brilliant entertainment and even a few surprises including a Ferris wheel, carousel and bumper cars! It was the perfect setting to celebrate another remarkable year for our industry and spend time with so many friends, colleagues and peers.

To our customers, thank you for trusting us with life's most precious moments. Your support allows us to continue doing what we love every single day.
