Wongs Wins Best Store Interior of the Year at the Professional Jeweller Awards 2026

We’re absolutely delighted to share that Wongs Jewellers has been named the winner of Best Store Interior of the Year at the Professional Jeweller Awards 2026!

The award was announced at a spectacular evening of celebration on Wednesday 2 September at Pillar Hall’s Idalia, Olympia London, where around 200 jewellery industry professionals from across the UK gathered to celebrate the very best in the industry.

With 21 competitive categories, including a special Lifetime Achievement Award, the Professional Jeweller Awards recognise the businesses, individuals and teams making a real impact across the jewellery industry. To have our Manchester store recognised amongst such an incredible group of businesses is a huge honour for everyone at Wongs.

Recognising the Manchester Store

Our Manchester store has been one of the most exciting projects in Wongs’ history. From the very beginning, the aim was to create something that felt completely true to Wongs, while also bringing something new and distinctive to Manchester.

Creating the store was a huge team effort, involving countless hours of planning, designing, decision-making and hard work from people both inside and outside the business. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part in bringing the vision to life.

A special mention has to go to our directors Peter Wong and Cynthia Cartwright, who took the lead on the project from the Wongs team. Their vision, passion and attention to detail helped shape the store into what it is today, and seeing that vision become reality has been an incredibly proud moment for the whole family.

Our Manchester store officially unveiled its new home at Christmas, and it was a particularly special moment for the Wong family.

Brian Wong, Founder of Wongs, said:

“Seeing the Manchester store unveiled at Christmas was an incredibly emotional moment for me. Peter, Cynthia and the team had put so much into the project, and seeing everything they had worked towards finally come together was amazing. I couldn’t have been more proud or more pleased with what the team had created. To now see the store recognised with an award like this makes it even more special.”

A Team Achievement

Representing Wongs at the awards were founders Brian and Sue Wong, their son and Owner and Director Peter Wong, and store managers Gavin and Mark.

Although it was Peter and Cynthia who took the lead on the project, this award belongs to everyone who contributed to the Manchester store. From the designers and contractors who helped bring the physical space to life, to our workshop, sales, marketing and management teams who helped create the experience our customers enjoy today, there have been so many people behind the scenes who deserve recognition.

We’re incredibly grateful for the hard work, dedication and belief that went into creating and launching the store. Every detail was considered with our customers in mind, from the overall design and atmosphere to the way the space allows our team to deliver the personal and memorable service Wongs is known for.

Winning Best Store Interior of the Year is a wonderful acknowledgement of that effort, and it’s particularly meaningful because the Manchester store represents such an exciting new chapter for Wongs.

An Honour to Be Recognised

We never take recognition like this for granted. There are so many talented jewellers, designers and businesses across the UK, so to have our Manchester store selected as the winner is something we’re genuinely humbled by.

We’d like to extend our congratulations to everyone who was nominated and shortlisted at this year’s Professional Jeweller Awards, as well as to all of the winners. It was fantastic to celebrate alongside so many people who share our passion for jewellery and independent retail.

And of course, a huge thank you to Professional Jeweller for hosting such a fantastic evening and for recognising the creativity, hard work and dedication that goes into creating spaces and experiences within our industry.

Most importantly, thank you to our incredible Wongs team. This award is a reflection of what can happen when talented and passionate people come together with a shared vision. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve created in Manchester and even prouder to see it recognised in this way.
