The Perfect Engagement & Wed Set - A Bespoke Story

At Wongs Jewellers, some of our favourite projects are the ones that continue a story we've already had the privilege of being part of. For Rebekah and Ricky, their bespoke journey began with a custom engagement ring and continued through to the creation of a wedding band that would complete the set. Today, as Mr and Mrs Jean, they have jewellery that not only celebrates their love story but also carries a deeply personal connection to one another.

 

A Natural Next Step

After Ricky had already worked with Wongs to create Rebekah's bespoke engagement ring, there was only one place she trusted when it came time to create her wedding band. The goal was simple: design a ring that would sit beautifully alongside her engagement ring while carrying its own meaning and significance.

"My partner originally chose them as he wanted to make me a custom engagement ring as well."

Why Wongs?

Having already experienced the bespoke process through her engagement ring, Rebekah knew she was in safe hands. The team already understood the importance of the jewellery and the story behind it, making the process feel comfortable and exciting from the very beginning.

The continuity of having both rings created through Wongs helped ensure that every detail felt connected, resulting in a set of rings designed to be worn together for a lifetime.

Since their engagement, we've had the pleasure of welcoming Rebekah and Ricky back through our doors many times. From Rebekah receiving her Bridal Box, to complimentary ring cleans to designing and collecting their wedding rings, it has been wonderful watching their journey unfold. One of the things we cherish most at Wongs is that our relationships don't end when a piece of jewellery leaves the workshop. Over time, customers become familiar faces, then friends, and often feel like part of the Wongs family.

A Personal Touch

The most meaningful details are often the ones hidden in plain sight. For Rebekah and Ricky, that detail came in the form of sapphires, their shared birthstone.

By incorporating sapphires into the design, the rings became even more personal, creating a subtle reminder of the bond they share. It's these thoughtful touches that transform jewellery into something far more meaningful than precious metals and gemstones.

The Design Journey

Creating a bespoke piece should feel enjoyable and collaborative, and for Rebekah that was exactly the experience she had. Working closely with Jenny, alongside support from Daisy, every detail was carefully considered and every question answered.

From initial ideas through to the finished design, the process felt personal, supportive and stress free.

"Jenny and Daisy were both very helpful during the design process. I worked more with Jenny but her attentiveness was second to none."

The Big Reveal

There is something special about seeing a wedding ring for the first time. It marks not only the completion of a piece of jewellery, but also the beginning of a new chapter.

For Rebekah, seeing the finished ring made everything feel real. The excitement of the wedding day suddenly felt closer than ever, and she couldn't wait to finally wear her completed bridal set as Mrs Jean. 

"I was really happy and couldn’t wait to be married and wear it."

One of the highlights for our team has been seeing Rebekah and Ricky return time and time again throughout their engagement. Whether popping in for a complimentary clean, discussing wedding rings or simply stopping by to say hello, they've become part of the Wongs family. Seeing customers return through life's biggest milestones is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do, and it has been a joy sharing this chapter with them.
