Lydia's Dream Pear Cut Ring for a Perfect Proposal - A Bespoke Story

For Cameron, designing Lydia’s engagement ring was about creating something that reflected her personality, her dreams and the next chapter of their love story together.

"What inspired you to have a bespoke piece created?"

Cameron had always known Lydia’s dream ring. She adored Wongs, admired the quality of our craftsmanship and had her heart set on a pear shaped diamond. It helped that her brother also had his wedding rings made with us, giving Cameron full confidence that his fiancée-to-be deserved something truly special.

"I was proposing to my girlfriend and she had always said about the quality of rings from Wongs and that would be her dream ring, and of course a pear shaped diamond."

Why Wongs?

For Cameron, choosing where to create Lydia’s ring was an easy decision. With glowing recommendations from friends, family and Lydia’s own brother, he felt reassured that Wongs would bring his vision to life with expertise and care.

Cameron popped the question while the couple were on holiday in Seville - it made for a gorgeous and memorable proposal under the Spanish sun!

The Design Journey

For someone who walked in with no knowledge of rings, Cameron found the entire process surprisingly smooth and enjoyable. With guidance from Zara, he explored diamond choices, ring styles and even talked about the perfect time of day to propose. From start to finish, the process felt effortless and exciting.

"Zara talked me through all of the processes, sizes, options and even what time of day to propose. She was absolutely fantastic."

The Big Reveal

When Cameron saw the final ring, the reality of the moment hit him. The design they had created together was now complete, ready to mark one of the biggest days of their lives. Holding the ring made everything feel real and filled him with emotion, knowing Lydia would love the piece created just for her. The gorgeous duo returned not long after their proposal to check Lydia's ring size and receive their handy Bridal Box!

"I was overjoyed and it was very emotional. Having the ring in my hand made me realise that this was real and I was finally going to propose."
