Peter Wong Appointed Vice Chair of the National Association of Jewellers

We're incredibly proud to share some exciting news from the Wongs family. Our Managing Director, Peter Wong, has been appointed Vice Chair of the National Association of Jewellers (NAJ), one of the jewellery industry's leading trade organisations.

Peter's appointment is a fantastic milestone, not only for him personally, but for Wongs as a whole. It reflects his passion for supporting independent jewellers, championing education and helping shape the future of the jewellery industry. Following his appointment, Peter will serve as Vice Chair before succeeding current Chair Mehdi Saadian in 2028. You can read the NAJ's official announcement here. 

"I am honoured to have been appointed Vice Chair of the National Association of Jewellers. The NAJ plays a vital role in supporting training, education, and career development across the industry. I hope to use my experience and network to be a strong advocate for this work, championing opportunities that attract, nurture, and retain talent within our sector.

Our membership is incredibly diverse, spanning designers, makers, retailers, suppliers, and service providers. In my role as Vice Chair, I look forward to listening, learning, and working collaboratively with members from across the industry, ensuring their voices are heard and that the NAJ continues to provide meaningful support and representation for all."

Peter has been an active member of the NAJ National Committee since 2024, where he has chaired the Independent Retailer Community Group and worked alongside fellow industry professionals to support the Association's mission. His appointment as Vice Chair is recognition of the dedication, experience and insight he continues to bring to both Wongs and the wider jewellery community.
