Wongs Wins Small Business Sunday by Theo Paphitis
We are incredibly proud to share that Wongs Jewellers has been named one of the latest winners of Small Business Sunday (#SBS) by Theo Paphitis.
Being recognised by Theo is a real honour for our team. As a family-run jewellers with a long heritage in Liverpool, it means a great deal to have our business highlighted by one of the UK’s most respected champions of small businesses.
Meeting Theo at Spring Fair
For the past 2 years, members of the Wongs team attended Spring Fair in Birmingham, one of the UK’s leading retail trade shows. While visiting the show, we had the opportunity to attend two of Theo’s talks.

Our Commercial Director Cynthia and Marketing Executive Katie were also lucky enough to meet Theo in person. His talks were incredibly engaging and insightful, offering valuable perspectives on entrepreneurship, retail, and building a successful brand. Hearing his experiences and advice first-hand was both inspiring and motivating for our team.

What is Small Business Sunday?
Small Business Sunday, widely known as #SBS, was created by Theo in October 2010 to support and celebrate small businesses across the UK. The initiative has grown into one of the country’s leading small business networks and celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2025.
Each Sunday, small businesses can enter by sharing a post about their business on social media while tagging Theo. Every Monday evening, Theo then personally selects six winners who are then shared with his large social media audience.
This recognition provides a significant boost in visibility and helps introduce the selected businesses to a much wider audience.
A Supportive Small Business Community
Winning #SBS is about more than a single social media moment. Businesses that are selected become part of a thriving community of small and micro businesses from across the UK.
Members benefit from increased exposure, valuable networking opportunities, positive media attention, and the chance to connect with other passionate entrepreneurs. For many businesses, the support and visibility from the #SBS community can help build new relationships, grow their audience, and open doors to new opportunities.
As Theo often says, success comes from perseverance, hard work, and making the most of the opportunities available.
