This 4Cs applies to both mined and laboratory grown diamonds, with the key difference being how they are formed: mined diamonds develop naturally in the earth over millions of years, while laboratory grown diamonds are created in controlled environments within just a few months. CUT
Whatever the cut you choose, your Wongs diamond is sure to be dazzling. Our expert team hand select only the finest of stones to be mounted in our beautiful jewellery. Starting with the rough diamond, they will decide how to cut and polish it to create the most beautiful stone, ensuring perfect balance and symmetry of all of the facets. Only diamonds with these perfect proportions and accuracy are chosen to ensure your diamond is truly dazzling.
The quality of the cut is most important to ensure your Wongs diamond captures and refracts the light in the most sensational way, creating optimum sparkle and everlasting love.
CLARITY
Because diamonds form under tremendous heat and pressure, it is extremely rare to find a diamond that lacks any internal and external characteristics. These characteristics are a by-product of its formation and help gemmologists separate natural diamonds from synthetics and simulants, and identify individual stones.
Here at Wongs, our diamonds are hand-selected to be visually perfect to the naked eye. Any ‘inclusions’ in our diamonds are barely visible even at ten times magnification.
COLOUR
At Wongs, our expert team only hand select exceptional diamonds in the colourless range (D-F) which are often referred to as ‘exceptional’ or ‘rare’ white.
This pure colour is something everyone can spot - a flash of light quite sensational, appearing beautifully bright and white. Diamonds are graded from ‘D’ (colourless) to ‘Z’ (tinted). No one knows what happened to A,B,C, some say they started the scale at ‘D’ for ‘Diamond’. Colour grades are determined by comparing each diamond to a master set. Each letter grade represents a range of colour and is a measure of how noticeable the colour is.
CARAT
Carats are the measure of weight in a stone, not size as is often perceived. In this instance, putting weight on can be viewed favourably, however ‘small and perfectly formed’ is also a great approach.
At Wongs, we believe a better quality of diamond is always the best choice, regardless of the weight. In all of our engagement rings, we engrave the diamond weight inside the shank for guarantee and reference.

ENGAGEMENT RINGS
Planning to propose? You have the ring, you have the question, and you're hoping for a big YES! But when it comes to choosing the perfect engagement ring, how do you make sure you get the right size?
A little detective work can go a long way. Friends and family may be able to help, or if your partner has a ring they wear regularly, you could discreetly bring it into store. Our team will be happy to use it as a guide to help determine the most suitable size.
If you're planning a surprise and aren't sure of the size, don't worry. We can help you choose a suitable starting size, then once you've popped the question, bring your new fiancé or fiancée into store for a complimentary ring sizing. We aim to complete engagement ring resizing as quick as possible, however it is subject to workshop availability and timescales will be given on the day.
RINGS
Every Wongs ring purchase includes one complimentary ring resizing, helping you achieve a comfortable, secure fit. Resizing times depend on workshop availability, and our team will provide an estimated turnaround when you visit. For rings that need to increase by several sizes, we may recommend remaking the ring to maintain the strength and security of the setting, particularly where diamonds or gemstones are set into the shoulders.
Please note that fully set diamond eternity rings cannot be resized, as the continuous setting of diamonds around the band prevents adjustments. It is therefore important to select the correct finger size when ordering.
NECKLACES
Our standard necklace length is 46cm (18 inches), a popular choice that typically sits just below the base of the neck. It's a versatile length for wearing on its own or styling with your favourite pendant.

BRACELETS/BANGLES
Our standard bracelet length is approximately 18cm (7 inches), a popular size designed to suit many wrists. If you require a different fit, our experienced goldsmiths can advise on possible adjustments, depending on the bracelet's design and construction.
Finding the right bangle size is particularly important for both comfort and ease of wear. As sizing varies depending on the design and shape of the bangle, we recommend contacting our team for personalised advice before purchasing. Delivery Information
- When will I receive my order? - A lot of Wongs pieces are made to order meaning it may take on average 4-6 weeks to create a bespoke piece for you - this is usually the case with engagement, wedding and eternity rings. We do also carry a lot of pieces in stock, in which case we will aim to dispatch in the timescale listed below. We will always be in touch to advise or check times with you. If you have a preferred date please let us know in the order notes.
- Delivery Time: Standard delivery is typically 3–5 working days. Orders placed before 3 PM (Mon–Fri) with in-stock items are dispatched the same day.
- Regions Covered: We deliver to all of Mainland UK, Northern Ireland, and the Isle of Man. (We do not currently ship internationally.)
- Courier & Insurance: We use trusted courier services and insure every order for your peace of mind.
- Christmas Deliveries: For guaranteed Christmas delivery, place your order by 21st December (UK orders only).
Returns & Exchanges
- 30-Day Return Window: Items may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase.
- Condition: Items must be unworn, unused, and in original packaging with any certificates or accessories.
- Exclusions: For hygiene reasons, earrings and pierced jewellery cannot be returned. Custom-made (bespoke & remodeled) or personalised items are also ineligible for return unless faulty.
- Refunds & Exchanges: Choose between a full refund (excluding shipping), an exchange, or a store credit voucher. Return shipping is not covered.
- How to Return: Contact us at accounts@wongsjewellers.co.uk or call 0151 236 1552. We'll provide return instructions and address details. Local customers may return in-store.
- Processing Time: Refunds are typically processed within a few business days of receiving the returned item.
- 30 Day Right to Reject: Under the Consumer Rights Act you have a legal right to reject goods that are of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described, and get a full refund - as long as you do this quickly. This right is limited to 30 days from the date you receive your product.

We offer independent diamond certification (e.g. GIA or IGI) for many of our diamonds. Each certificate outlines the diamond's quality and confirms it is conflict-free, in line with the UN's Kimberley Process.

Physical gift vouchers are available in-store only, they let your loved one choose something they truly adore from our current ranges and can be put towards our workshop services. Cleaning, Polishing & Valuations
Free Cleaning Service
Bring your Wongs jewellery in anytime for a complimentary clean. We'll also check your stones are secure and advise on any maintenance. We recommend a clean and inspection every 12 months to ensure your guarantee remains valid.
Valuations
We currently provide valuations on pieces of jewellery that have been purchased or created by Wongs Jewellers. We recommend having items re-valued every 2-3 years to ensure they are aligned with precious metal and diamond/gemstone values.
